A Tomato a Day…

by Joi on August 28, 2005

Tomatoes are, health-wise, the pick of the crop right now. They’re loaded with Lycopene, which your heart absolutely loves, AND they’re being researched for their cancer-fighting properties.

I’ve started adding more tomatoes to dishes around our house - extra tomatoes in the spaghetti sauces, chili, homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. Another way to serve tomatoes is to slice them, arrange them on a platter, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle basil on top. De-Li-Cious.

If you aren’t sure you’re able to eat enough tomatoes, there’s a new supplement, “Lyc-O-Mato” that I just read about. It has the power of 5 tomatoes in one pill. Research indicates that these supplements support heart health and reduce the risk of certain types of cancer.

Here is the link to Lyc-O-Mato.com, where you’ll find more info.
