by Joi on June 30, 2006

1 cup water
1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tbs. mustard
2 Tbs. vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 tsp. salt

Beat together with mixer, then pour over hamburger patties. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve on toasted buns alongside your favorite baked beans and onion rings. Use a large onion ring on each burger for extra pop!

This sounds great. How many patties (and of how much weight) should there be for this recipe?

Hi, Laura!

It works well when you have about 1-1/2 pounds of ground beef. I actually have never tried it with more or less.

This recipe also perks up vegetarian patties….and Heaven knows most of them need something to perk them up!
