Blackberry Crumble

by Joi on March 2, 2006

2 cups blackberries, rinsed
2/3 cup sugar
juice from one lemon
3 TBS unsalted butter
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp salt

Put the blackberries into a 1 quart baking dish along with half of the sugar. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Cream butter, the rest of the sugar, flour and salt together. Sprinkle over berries and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Both works for me!

This is amazingly easy and tastes deliciously like summertime.
