Candied Sweet Potatoes

4 to 5 sweet potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vinegar
4 tablespoons butter

Boil potatoes until tender. Drain. In small saucepan, boil remaining ingredients for 5 minutes. Pour sauce over potatoes. Bake in 2 quart casserole dish at 350 degrees for one hour.

Yield: 4 to 6 servings

This sweet potato recipe makes you think of sweet potato pie with every bite.
