First of all, I have to jump, shout and point a finger toward this afternoon’s The Essence of Emeril. Not just because Emeril’s da man, but also because he’s centering the episode around…..cue the special music….BUTTERMILK!
The amazing recipes he’ll be whipping up:
Buttermilk Battered Fennel Fries with a Creamy Buttermilk Dipping Sauce

Don’t Touch That Dial!
Tonight’s Emeril Live will be the sort of show you can’t miss. You know, the kind that if your house starts caving in around you, you put the kitchen table over the television set and a chair over you - watch the episode - then after Emeril has said his good-byes, [...]

Jamie Oliver, Paula Deen, Sandra Lee, and Emeril were all featured in a recent issue of Life and Style magazine (July9, 2007 issue).
I really miss Jamie on Food TV - he was one of the more entertaining celeb chefs PLUS his food always looked amazing. If you ever get a chance [...]

There are only a few ways the Food Network could appease me if they gave me an evening with no Alton, Paula OR Rachael: One would be a lifetime supply of chocolate, another would be my own personal Starbuck’s in my backyard, and yet another would be a night devoted to garlic.
They chose to go with the latter - which is, oddly enough, fine with me. Besides, my other faves - Emeril and Jim O’Connor will be there. Check out some of the recipes that’ll be featured in tonight’s line-up:———

Who says TV can’t be good for you? Last night, my husband and I were watching the Food Network - it happens to be Chocolate Week, so Emeril and Alton were each waxing brilliant with chocolate lovelies. And since I happen to be Chocolate Weak, I was in my element. [...]

There are lots of things that make me weak in the knees - coffee, my 3 daughters laughing, chocolate, my husband’s blue eyes, my cats… but one of my costliest knee weakeners is definitely my obsession with dishes. No matter how many I have, I want more.
This is how bad it is [...]

Tonight’s a great night for Food Network addicts. They’ve finally moved on past the extra-healty, fat-free episodes that always come with a New Year. Tonight’s line-up includes Country Fried Steak with Biscuits and Gravy (Paula’s Home Cooking), Smoky Portobello Soup (Paula’s Home Cooking), Red Pepper Cheesecake (Everyday Italian), French Onion Soup (Barefoot Contessa), [...]

I love the theme of the Food Network’s line-up tonight: Sports! Food and sports go hand in glove and my family generally celebrates one with the other. We have special Monday Night Football snacks, race day snacks, special Sunday Night Baseball snacks - and when College Basketball kicks into high gear, we watch every UK and UofL game literally surrounded by food…..

I added a little ticker to the right that’ll keep you up to date on what you might want to watch out for on the Food Network. Each day I’ll change it to that day’s line up - I’ll only give the day’s very best….the shows, the chefs, and the food you just can’t miss!——
