Are you a cablevision customer? Do you love Food Network? Would you greatly miss Alton, Paula, Rachael, Ace and Guy if they suddenly stopped coming into your living room?
If you’ve answered yes, yes, and you bet I would – it’s time to act before it’s too late.
Food Network may be dropped from your TV lineup. That would mean no more Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, no more Paula Deen, no more Bobby Flay, no Alton Brown, no Rachael Ray and no more Ace or his cakes. Good Lord! I can’t even imagine.
What can you do? Demand that Cablevision keep Food Network on the air by sending an eCard or calling 866-695-BEST. Due to the high volume of calls you may receive a busy signal, just keep trying. You can also send an eCard.
Spread the word on Twitter, Facebook, to your e-mail buddies, and around your neighborhood.
If you rely on Cablevision for your television viewing (at this moment I’m EXTREMELY thankful that I do not), rally the troops and save this wonderful channel. How ridiculous for cablevision to even THINK about ditching The Food Network. I’ll bet a lot of the other ridiculously stupid channels aren’t even being considered.
Speak up and speak out!

BYE BYE CABLEVISION…….HELLO FIOS…….NO FOOD NETWORK…..NO MORE MONEY FROM ME…THIS INCLUDES THE TV, PHONE AND BROADBAND….WE ALL HAVE TO MAKE CHOICES IN LIFE…..SADLY CABLE MADE THE WRONG ONE ANDD WILL SURELY LOSE MANY MANY CUSTOMERS…SO FAR ALL THAT I HAVE SPOKEN TO ARE MAKING A FAST CHANGE TO FIOS..
Do you know what the driving force behind the change is? It must be something over money, because Food Network certainly has the viewership. Hopefully it’s a game of chicken and they’ll come to an agreement. Fortunately, I don’t have cablevision.
Cabelvision customers should contact Verizon today! Verizon is offering packages starting @ $99 a month for TV, internet and phone! Food Network and HGTV are not in jeopardy w/Verizon! Cabelvision needs to feel the impact of their greed.
I cannot believe Cablevision has done this. I have been getting sick of Cablevision the past couple of years: first taking away channels on tvs with no boxes, now this and attempting to take fox off too. Cablevision doesn’t have a monopoly on tv viewing anymore and it is becoming more justified to switch to something better.
how about both companies cut the crap and work out a deal.it is not just cablevision that is to blame here.we love food network and miss some of the shows,but,wake-up scripps is just as much to blame for this nonsense
THERE IS AN EASY SOLUTION TO THIS, NEVERMIND FIGHTING AND ARGUING WITH CABLEVISION, IF THEY ARE CONCERNED ABOUT MONEY, DROP ‘EM AND GET EITHER FIOS, DISH NETWORK OR DIRECT TV. I TOLD MY FAMILY ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO THAT CABLEVISION WOULD EVENTUALLY MOVE THESE CHANNELS FROM FAMILY CHANNEL AND/OR MAKE YOU PAY MORE OR GET ANOTHER BOX, ENOUGH ALREADY, IF EVERYONE CANCELLED AND MOVED THIER SUBSCRIPTION ELSEWHERE, THAT IS THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL GET YOUR ATTENTION BUT FOR THEM IT WOULD BE TOO LATE. NO ONE STANDS UP FOR THEMSELVES ANYMORE, JUST LIKE WHEN THE GAS PRICES WENT UP, EVERYTHING ELSE WENT UP AND STAYED UP I PUT THINGS BACK WHEN THEY WERE OUT OF LINE, EVEN THOUGH GAS FEEL DOWN A LITTLE, IT’S ABOUT TIME WE ALL JUST CUT ‘EM LOSE WHEN THE SERVICE IS LOUSY. YOU WOULD BE FIRED IF YOU DID NOT DO YOUR JOB, SO WHY SHOULD THEY BE ANY DIFFERENT. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL, I’M ENJOYING MY SWITCH TO DIRECT TV…. WHEN THE ECONOMY WAS DOWN, A LOT OF FOLKS SWITCH TO FAMILY PKG, THEY THEN SUDDENLY MOVED CHANNELS OFF THE FAMILY PKG, AND NOW THIS??? THEY ARE PLAYING A GAME WITH YOU THAT I JUST WOULD NOT STAND FOR SO SWITCHED. THEY DO NOT HAVE YOU AS A CUSTOMER AS THEIR BEST INTEREST.
I just got Dish because of all of this. I recommend that all do the same. For one…Cablevision has to learn that we are customers not Pawns. Even if Scripps pulled the shows at midnight…Cablevision would know what they had to do to keep them during negotiations. They failed to do this…so they let their customers down and out. To beat they did not offer some form of credit..
So Ace of “Good Eats” throwdown thirty minute meals continue at my house….Thank God to Dish Network…and it is cheaper too.
ps..took over one hour to get a person to Cancel at Cablevision…so something is going on that no one is talking about.
I couldn’t agree with you more, JeffV. What I’d do without Ace or Alton is beyond me!
