Great Southern Pecan Pie

1/4 butter or margarine, melted
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1 unbaked (9 inch) pie shell
1-1/2cups pecan halves

Combine sugar, butter, and salt. Beat eggs well, then add in the sugar mixture. Add syrup and stir well. Add the vanilla and pecans last. Pour into unbaked pie shell.

Bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.
