Halloween Fun!

by Joi on September 7, 2007

It’s here - what I always call “My time of the year” - the home stretch on the calendar. Sure, I love every season and every month - each has its own special magic and countless reasons to cherish each moment. But, September, October, November, and December turn those magical, cherished moments into Heaven on earth for me. I love everything about this time of year: The coolness in the air, the colors the leaves outfit themselves in, baseball’s climax, the NFL, college football, college basketball, Sweet Potato Pie, Pumpkin Pie, scarecrows, ghosts (yes, ghosts - love ‘em!), snowmen, santa, reindeer, cranberries, snow, sweaters, scarves, gloves, hot cocoa, soup, stew, homemade bread, the first time the heat is turned on and gives that funny little “Winter’s here!” smell, etc, etc, etc. Love it all!

My youngest daughter, Stephany, feels exactly the same way. So, we go all out with the decorations. Scarecrows, ghosts (!!!), pumpkins, bears decked out in halloween costumes…they’re pretty much everywhere you look and we couldn’t be happier.

I found the following “Must Haves” online and am working feverishly to round them all up! Halloween isn’t just for kids, after all, it’s for anyone and everyone who wants to smile, have fun, and just enjoy living in the moment!
