Happy (Healthy) New Year!

Happy New Year’s!

This morning when I made our traditional New Year’s day punch, I chopped up some frozen fruit popsicles into the bowl with the normal ingredients. They made it extra tangy and slushy – good stuff!

If you give it a try, be sure you don’t cut the stick and get splinters in your punch (really bad deal). Cut off the tip of the popsicle, then slide the rest off.

Have a great day and an even better year – and, whatever you do, on your resolutions write “Eat healthier” down in ink. So many diseases are being linked to a poor diet….while so many cures or preventions are being linked to fruits, vegetables and fish. My household is about to be thrust into full-tilt health mode, and I’ll be adding alot more to this blog about healthy eating.

I’ll try to come up with lots of creative ways to make healthy foods and drinks fun and yummy – so much so that our families won’t realize what we’re slipping by…and into…them!!!

I hope 2006 is more than you could have ever hoped for!
