Heaven at Hardees!

by Joi on June 25, 2005

Have you gotten a chance to try the new Texas Fries at Hardees? I had my first encounter with them last night, and I’ll be having my second one this afternoon! (Will lunch time EVER get here???? 7:46 AM and counting.)

They are strips of jalapeno peppers, battered and fried, and served with a GREAT dipping sauce. They’re shaped like fries, actually, and are even served in a fry package. Absolutely delicious.

I love for a restaurant to come up with something original - I get beyond tired of the same-o same-o. Hardees went and waxed culinarily brilliant. I’m so proud of them.

I can’t wait to tinker with this recipe in my own kitchen. When I come up with a close version, I’ll definitely post it. I’m willing to log in the hours of research. Oh, the sacrifices I make. :)
