Is Soda Bad For Your Heart?

by Joi on November 29, 2005

Trust me, this is gonna hurt me worse than it’s gonna hurt you. (I kill a 2 liter of Diet Dr. Pepper daily. With glee.)

In a recent report published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, women who regularly drank cola appeared to have a greater risk of developing high blood pressure than women who did not drink cola. While one would immediately think that the caffeine was the culprit - women who reported regular coffee consumption did not have higher rates of hypertension than women who did not drink coffee.

Whew, at least I get to hold tight to one of my addictions.
