Mozarella Grilled Cheese Sandwiches Hit the Spot

by Joi on August 11, 2008

On today’s Tyler’s Ultimate, Sir Florence will be making the delicious Mozarella Grilled Cheese you see pictured here. I have the recipe printed out and ready to go. One of the things I’m most fascinated about with this recipe is the Basil pesto (included in the recipe).

These sound like they’d be Heavenly with a side of Ruffles and/or Tomato soup.

I recently used my Panini Press to make sandwiches similar to these. I treated the Italian bread as though I was about to grill it in the oven as garlic bread. Then, I piled on Mozarella and Parmesan cheeses, sauteed onion and red pepper and let the Panini Press work its mojo. Served alongside a killer salad, it made a lunch my daughters talked about all day.

I can’t wait to trot out Tyler’s Grilled Mozarella Sandwiches with Basil Pesto. They just might give me a standing ovations.
