My Other Blogs
We obviously share an interest in and passion for cooking, right? Below is a list of my other blogs and, in effect, some of my other great loves. Chances are you’ll recognize some of your own interests, too.
Since this is a page I use on each of my blogs, whatever blog you’re currently on will be listed below. Don’t worry, you aren’t losing your mind, and I’m not losing my… Well, you aren’t losing your mind.
Cat-Pause - I have four cats that absolutely light up my world. I know that other cat people feel the same way about their babies. This blog is for all of us and the cats we love so much.
Arm Sweets - In addition to a girl-y crush on Tyra Banks, this blog’s all about fashion. It’s main focus is on bracelets (which I wear like a gypsy), perfume (which I wear even in my sleep), and purses (which I collect as though my life will someday depend upon building a house out of them).
Get Cooking - An absolutely perfect day for me is one spent in the kitchen cooking for my family - followed, of course, by gathering around the table, eating and talking. While southern cooking is a birthright, I also love to cook Asian cuisine, Mexican foods, and lots of Italian recipes. I actually think that my fried rice, quesadillas, AND spinanch manicotti are better than you can get in restaurants.
Genuine Kentucky - A blog that celebrates the fact that “there’s no place like home.”
Hollywood Yesterday - A culmination of some of my greatest obsessions: Classic television (I Love Lucy, b and w Andy Griffith, The Beverly Hillbillies), Lucille Ball, Audrey Hepburn, TVLand, movies (old and new), James Dean, Rita Hayworth, Clint Eastwood, Abbott and Costello, Spaghetti Westerns, and movie quotes. Sometimes I think I’m the only female on the planet that loves westerns. I think the love came from having a father that watched them daily combined with a major crush on Clint Eastwood.
Self Help Daily - The only way I can explain this blog is to admit that I’m one of those people who’s convinced they can save the world. I have the mindset that, as long as the coffee and tea keep flowing, it’s within reach. I honestly just want to make a difference in my lifetime. If I can, in some small way, help another person to have a better life and help wildlife conservation efforts, in any way possible - the time spent in this chair will have been more than worth it.
Out of Bounds - I’m particularly fascinated with mental fitness and with doing everything in our power to stay sharp. Out of Bounds is another self help blog (I warned you about me…) that focuses on the mind and the things we can do to keep it in top working order. It also takes a close look at emotions and other things that go into making us who we are.
Office Freaks - You know the feeling a junk food addict gets after stepping into a McDonald’s - the way their eyes bug out at the all the possibilities as their nose processes the intoxicating smells? Yeah. That’s me when in Staples or Office Depot. I jump for joy (and the car keys) when our home office needs more paper, pens, folders, etc. Play time!
