Paula Deen is keeping me company today as I’m working. Her show is on all day on the food network – right up till 4:00. Y’all know what a fan I am of this lady’s – so you have to know I’m in sheer Heaven!
The show currently on will feature an amazing looking asparagus salad. Can’t wait for that one.
Gotta go, can’t keep Paula waiting -

Has anyone at the food network ever heard of a Candy Roaster Pie? It is between a pumpkin and sweet potato. Thanks
Hi! This is the first I’ve ever heard of this interesting sounding pie – but I put on my researcher’s hat and found a great post and recipe for you: http://boulerbelt.blogspot.com/2006/11/candy-roaster-squash-pie.html.
I’m going to have to try this one out, myself! – Joi
I grew up with “candy roasters” and got 6 seeds at the Organic Growers School in Hendersonville, NC last year. I had a prolific crop and have many seeds saved to share. The candy roaster squash has the sweetest flavor you can imagine with NO added sugar!! We were so happy to have this great heirloom vegetable again!!
