Pistachio Cake from a Cake Mix

by Joi on November 29, 2005

1 box yellow cake mix
1 (5 5/8 oz) box pistachio instant pudding mix
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup corn oil
4 eggs
1 tsp butter flavoring
1 tsp almond flavoring

Mix together the cake mix and pudding mix. Stir in water, corn oil, eggs, and flavorings. Beat at medium speed for 2 to 3 minutes until smooth and well-blended.

Bake in a greased bundt pan at 350 degrees for 55 - 60 minutes.

This is kind of an unusual recipe, but it’s heavenly. Slivered almonds (or walnuts or pecans) served on top really add a lot.
