Popcorn Balls

by Joi on September 11, 2006

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 cup butter
1/2 ts. salt
8 cups popped popcorn

Pop the popcorn and set aside. Heat the sugar, syrup, butter, and salt - simmer in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir constantly until it comes to a boil.

Remove from heat an add the popcorn - gently. Stir constantly until the popcorn is all coated. Cool slightly.

Butter hands and form popcorn into balls. Place on waxed paper. Makes about 2 dozen “fist sized” balls.

These make Halloween - that’s all they do.
