Sweet Kisses, but Not Sweet Enough???

Did You Know?

In 1732, Johann Sebastian Bach wrote “Kaffee-Kantate” – a cantata about coffee. At that time, beer was actually the German’s favorite breakfast beverage. German women were frowned upon for drinking coffee. (A chance I would’ve taken again…and again… and again…)

Bach’s cantata tells the humorous story of a man who wants his daughter to give up drinking coffee. But the lady doth protest. She sings that coffee is “lovelier than a thousand kisses.”

Hmmmm, I wouldn’t go that far, but I guess it depends upon the coffee and more importantly who you’re kissing!
