Mott's Applesauce

Mott’s Delicious New PLUS Applesauce Packs

July 3, 2008 By Joi Sigers

Delicious Mott's PLUS ApplesauceI realize that lately I’ve been recomending a lot of different food and drinks.  But when it comes to making great new discoveries, I’m on a roll!

I love to keep healthy snacks on hand for my husband and daughters – left to their own devises, they’d eat the junkiest junk food available and never look back.  But if the “healthy” food and drinks I buy don’t taste good, they’re about as effective as Barney Fife would be against a Dragon.  (He’d be a Fife-ka-bob before he ever got the bullett out of his pocket.)

I recently hit the snack-pot.   Mott’s Applesauce (THE BEST brand, by the way.  I love applesauce to distraction, so I’ve tried every brand at one time or another.  I’d try it out of curiousity and then go right back to Mott’s.  Eventually I just stopped trying the newbies.)

Mott’s recently came out with a line of PLUS, snack-size servings of their delicious applesauce. The varieties are:

  • Pomegranate – My Oldest daughter’s favorite.  It’s tart, really delicious, and happens to be the most beautiful color in the world!
  • Harvest Apple – My personal favorite – it’s beyond delicious.  The others are delicious and I’ll continue to buy (and eat!) them – I guess I’m just old school.
  • Cranberry Raspberry – Everyone else’s favorite!  This one’s a perfect blend of cranberry and raspberry, two of the most memorable and delicous flavors in the world.

These amazing applesauces aren’t just for snacking, either.  I’ve served them alongside meals – They’re a perfect way to get extra vitamins without adding extra sugar. The Harvest Apple flavor is fortified with calcium which I need MAJORLY since milk and I aren’t on a first name basis.

The Pomegranate flavor is fortified with antioxidants, something we all need to add to our daily diets. The Cranberry/Raspberry flavor is fortified with extra fiber.

Hmmm, I just had another Pomegranate applesauce and I’m not so willing to call just one flavor my favorite anymore. I’m surprised at just how good this one is. They’re the perfect size and amount for a healthy snack between breakfast and the lunch that seems to be taking its sweet time in arriving! (Currently where I was at when I went for my Pomegranate applesauce!)

Try these, you’ll absolutely love them.
