Fellow Pig Collectors, Your Kitchen Will Love This!

February 16, 2018 By Joi Sigers

Amazon

As someone who is both obsessed with and a collector of pigs, I feature a lot of pigs on the food blog. What’s funny is, I hear from SO many of you who feel just as strongly about them as I do. They’re whimsical, fun, and impossibly cute… what’s not to love, right?!

The adorable Pig Paper Towel Holder, pictured above, is pretty much a MUST HAVE as far as I’m concerned. Not only is she a beauty, she serves a very useful function – she give that ever-present and ever-wandering roll of paper towels an attractive place to call home.

Today’s Menu: Pig Chef with Chalkboard

May 16, 2016 By Joi Sigers

Today's Menu Pig with Chalkboard for the Kitchen

Often I write about things on the food blog that have blown me away in an attempt to allow you to, also, be blown away. Other times I write about things that I’ve fallen in love with and plan to get my paws on as soon as possible, if not sooner.

The cutie above falls in the latter category – I don’t have him in my possession yet but, trust me, it’s just a matter of time. This Chef Pig Holding Today’s Menu on a Chalkboard is available on Amazon and, if you love pigs like I do, you’re already deciding where to put him.

Product Details:

  • Unique
  • Portable
  • Anytime best buy
  • Excellent party decor to welcome guests
  • Made from polystone

I love the idea of letting everyone know what to expect for supper but, let’s be honest, mostly I just love the cuteness.

Big time!

See  Chef Pig Holding Today’s Menu on a Chalkboard for more information.

5 Great Gift Ideas for Pig Lovers and Collectors

April 13, 2016 By Joi Sigers

I love pigs and I love pigs muchly. Everything about them from their snouts to their curly tails. Some may say I’m obsessed, and I’m okay with that. Truth be told, if my cat (Alexa) would allow it, I’d have a pet pig.

As it is, though, I cannot get her to agree to anything that would possibly infringe upon her castle, her toys, her beds,  her food… especially her food…. or her attention from her parents.

So, I’ll just continue to love them from afar.

As you’ve probably guessed, my kitchen is filled with pigs -there are salt and pepper shakers, bacon presses (feels wrong, but looks cute), measuring cups, mugs, gadgets, etc. Pigs everywhere you look. And not a one touches any of Princess Alexa’s things.

Thank goodness.

The cuties shown here are in my Amazon “Pigs” folder…. what? you don’t have an Amazon “Pigs” folder?… and will find their way into my kitchen soon enough. Click through each link to read more.

ONE Little Piggy…

Rust Pig Marquee LED Lighted Sign Wall Decor
The Rust Pig Marquee LED Lighted Sign Wall Decor (pictured above) is made of metal and would look pretty darn sweet hanging on a wall OR sitting on shelves, a mantle, hutch, or on top of cabinets. Love this guy.

TWO Little Piggies….

Topiary Pig Frame
The Pig Topiary Frame (check out that tail!) is ideal for indoor or outdoor use. Personally, I’m picturing her on top of my hutch, right beside the Pig Marquee sign. This adorable topiary can be adorned with any live plant growing on it but an ivy plant would certainly be a knock-out.  You insert the ivy plant into the frame and allow it to weave throughout the frame, then you trim it to fit the shape – an adorable pig shape at that.  You could even fill her with some “craft store” moss and insert little pink flowers throughout. That’d actually be pretty darn cute, too.

THREE Little Piggies…

Purple Pig Trivet
The Purple Pig Trivet will probably be the first one of these I buy – Purple is one of the predominant colors in my kitchen. A purple pig almost seems custom made for me, you know.

FOUR Little Piggies….

Pig Scrubby Holder
The cutie above is a Pig Scrubby Holder. You could  sit it right by the kitchen sink and I’m pretty sure he’ll make you smile each time you look his way. Who couldn’t stand a few more smiles while going about kitchen chores, am I right am I right?

FIVE Little Piggies….

Pig Mug and Spoon
The ridiculously adorable Ceramic Pig Mug and Spoon set pictured here is almost too cute. Also available are black cats (also a must have for me, as I also have cats everywhere you look), panda bears, and a frog mug and spoon set that’s cuter than it has a right to be.

Adorable Pig-Shaped Bacon Press

August 5, 2015 By Joi Sigers

Pig Shaped Bacon Press

Pig-Shaped Bacon Press

I know that most of you, like me, are “hog wild” about pigs in the kitchen.  Sorry, I couldn’t resist the pun. I tried. Honest. I hadn’t done a piggy post in a while and thought it was high time I fixed that.

The cutie above is the Cast Iron Pig Bacon Grill Press (available on Amazon).

My own bacon press has an image of a pig on it (of course… pigs are all over my kitchen) – but it isn’t shaped like a pig. That makes this one really stand out, doesn’t it?! For a long time, I just used my bacon press as a decoration… sitting pretty on the stove. Then I actually put her to work one day flattening bacon and, what do you know it actually works.

It’s ideal if you’re making bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches – or if you just want your bacon to stop looking like it has a perm.

Features:

  • Measures 8.5 inches/21.5cm by 5.25 inches/13.5cm
  • Made of heavy cast iron with a wooden knob handle
  • Whimsical pig-shaped press keeps bacon flat during frying
  • Needs to be seasoned before use
  • Hand wash, rinse thoroughly and dry with a paper towel – Never soak cast iron

I love that it’s cast iron, too. Can you say, “Lasts forever”?!

See Cast Iron Pig Bacon Grill Press for more information.

There’s also a round bacon press option (pictured below) – it’s too cute for its own good, too.

Cast Iron Round Bacon Grill Press

The one shown below is the one I have (and love):

Norpro Cast Iron Bacon Grill Press

I’m actually loving all of these so much, I think I need to start collecting bacon presses. More pigs..yay!

Adorable Ceramic Pig Dish

April 29, 2014 By Joi Sigers

Oval Pig Dish

Apparently a lot of you… like ME… are completely obsessed with pigs. Whenever I show you something pig-licious I’ve fallen hard for, I  hear from other pig lovers who are just as crazy about it as I am.

The adorable Pig Oval Dish, above, is my latest pig find and he couldn’t be any cuter if it was his job.

You can find this beautiful hand-crafted, hand-painted ceramic dish through Amazon – for around $10.

Click through the link or image for more information.

Pig Canisters for the Kitchen

April 12, 2014 By Joi Sigers

Pig Canisters for the Kitchen
These little cuties got SUCH a reaction the last time I posted them that I wanted to do an updated post. I think I got more e-mails about these pig canisters than I’ve gotten about anything.

Ever.

Seems I’m not the only person out there who’s obsessed with pigs!

When I’d spotlighted them before, they were available online through another website. Apparently, they got the same type of reaction I did because they must’ve sold out.

I even heard from Pig Collectors, like myself, who were anxious to add this adorable set to their collection.

Hopefully now we can all get our hands on these 3 Little Pigs Whimsical Kitchen Canister Set Farmyard Whimsy Piggy Ceramic Jar Decorative Kitchen Table Counter Top Accent Storage Organization Decoration!
