- Needless to say, I can’t swear by any of these – but I do know there must be something to the Gatorade one. My daughter, Emily, has occasional migraine headaches. She went through a period of time (before she fell in love with Iced Tea!), where Powerade was her drink of choice. I’ve been thinking about it since I read this list, and I can’t recall her having a really bad migraine during her Powerade months.
I don’t know what it could be, but there must be something “headache” friendly in these drinks.

i dont think coke has phophoric acid, it’s carbonic acid…otherwise no one wud drink coke.
bruising is caused by ruptured blood vessel (veri, artery) so theres no way to lessen discolorations since it is INTERNAL…remedies to bruising are only for pain relief due to sensitity to the area affected..
i dont think listerine is good in open blisters…listerine is not indicated for drinking(w/c means that it might irritate the GI tract,) how much more in open blisters..(not sure though)
i dont find any content in a gatorade that can relieve headaches…ive tried it and no effect..it only contains NA,K,water, traced minerals..thats all, headaches need ibuprofen, paracetamol, etc… gatorades are for rehydration since it directly affects the urinary system, not nervous system…

Hi, Blake. I thought they all sounded pretty wild, myself…but since they came from a Health magazine I gave (and give) them some validity.
As for the Gatorade, no clue why it seems to help some people, but it does. Even if it didn’t help someone with a headache, it sure isn’t going to hurt.
Wow, those are do-it-yourself things for emergency one. Thanks for sharing it. I never thought that the toothpaste can actually used for drying the burns. Very interesting.
I wonder if the Gatorade fix is just because the person was suffering a headache due to dehydration. Dehydration is a very common cause of headaches…
