Teens at the Table

by Joi on January 2, 2006

A study that ran in the Journal of Adolescent Health proved that teenagers eat more healthy foods if their parents are around. In the study, young people who dined with their parents ate many more fruits and vegetables, and were more likely to try new things.

Although the study only focused on teens, I’d imagine that it would be true of all kids, all ages.

Needless to say, when our kids are at the table with us is the perfect time to instill good eating habits into them. The sooner we make them realize that Ronald isn’t the only one who makes food taste good, the healthier they’ll be!
