Consumer Reports recently had my kind of taste-teste: A Coffee Off. They tested four popular brands of coffee – McDonald’s, Burger King, Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts – to determine where one could find the best coffee in the country.
USA Today had recently done a similar test and awarded the title to Starbuck’s. Consumer Reports, however, gave the nod to McDonald’s. I can’t argue that McD’s has great coffee…heck, the smell alone merits all kinds of accolades. Burger King and Dunkin’ Donuts have pretty sensational coffee, too, and Starbuck’s….well, they’re one of the reasons I get out of bed in the morning.
I guess this calls for my own personal taste test. I really (don’t) hate to do it, but you gotta (get to) do what you gotta (get to) do.
It’s shaping up to be a great, great day that has the potential to fly right off the charts. In a cup….or four.
