Swedish Nuts
2 lb. pecans
2 cups sugar
1/2 lb. margarine
Salt
4 egg whites
Spread pecans on cookie sheet. Salt lightly and bake 15-20 minutes at 250°. Remove pecans from cookie sheet. Melt margarine in a shallow pan.
Beat egg whites until stiff, gradually adding the sugar. Stir nuts into the egg white mixture - coating well.
Place nuts into the melted margarine and bake at 325° for 45 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes. Store in a tightly covered container.
