Wilder Condiments Horseradish Mustard
As I said in my Eat Feed Love Taste Club Box Review, the individual products in the box were exceptional. So much so that I wanted to do individual reviews for a few unique foods that brought a lot of excitement to my kitchen.
A kitchen that thought it’d pretty much seen everything.
The Horseradish Mustard from Wilder Condiments was one of the items that supercharged my kitchen. The first way I tried this zingy mustard was – geez, sometimes being brutally honest makes me squirm – right out of the jar. As in… grabbed a plastic spoon and went for a dip.
It may have been an undignified moment, but it was totally worth it. What’s more, I went back for more. The flavor is exceptional – the horseradish flavor is in the background, allowing the outstanding mustard to take center stage.Mustard is one of my favorite condiments, so I’m very familiar with this yellow superstar. This particular mustard is outstanding – with a decided “gourmet” feel, flavor, and even texture.
After the dipping incident – okay, okay, incidents – I went on to use this new obsession along with another (Laguna Salt Company’s Malted Vinegar Sea Salt) in and aioli recipe that was exceptional.
There is also a Mustard Gravy recipe using this dynamic duo that I plan to make this week.
The Horseradish Mustard is out of this world on hamburgers and I would imagine it gives hot dogs and corn dogs a whole new reason to feel good about themselves. I haven’t tried it on either, quite frankly, because I’m trying to make the mustard last until I can make the Mustard Gravy!
I will order more, however, before I ever see the bottom of the jar.
