Pig Pallet Art Wall Hanging: Pig Collectors, You’ll Love This

January 28, 2019 By Joi Sigers

I’ve promised to always show you fellow pig lovers and collectors when I find irresistible pig decor or kitchen items.  This one is a beauty.

The Pig Pallet Art Wall Hanging combines two of my favorite things – pigs and a rustic look. Love it!

The Pallet Art measures approximately 9″ by 12″ and comes ready to hang with a saw tooth hanger or wire picture hanger. These are hand cut and painted so they will vary slightly, making them one of a kind… something that makes it even better in my book.

Click through the link above or picture to the right for more information.

Pigs on Hutch

Part of my pig collection now sits on top of the hutch in our kitchen. My grandbaby LOVES pigs and he LOVES lights… so pigs and lights, it is!

eBay is a great place to find vintage pig collectibles, as are Hobby Lobby and Amazon.

Today’s Menu: Pig Chef with Chalkboard

May 16, 2016 By Joi Sigers

Today's Menu Pig with Chalkboard for the Kitchen

Often I write about things on the food blog that have blown me away in an attempt to allow you to, also, be blown away. Other times I write about things that I’ve fallen in love with and plan to get my paws on as soon as possible, if not sooner.

The cutie above falls in the latter category – I don’t have him in my possession yet but, trust me, it’s just a matter of time. This Chef Pig Holding Today’s Menu on a Chalkboard is available on Amazon and, if you love pigs like I do, you’re already deciding where to put him.

Product Details:

  • Unique
  • Portable
  • Anytime best buy
  • Excellent party decor to welcome guests
  • Made from polystone

I love the idea of letting everyone know what to expect for supper but, let’s be honest, mostly I just love the cuteness.

Big time!

See  Chef Pig Holding Today’s Menu on a Chalkboard for more information.

Adorable Pig-Shaped Bacon Press

August 5, 2015 By Joi Sigers

Pig Shaped Bacon Press

Pig-Shaped Bacon Press

I know that most of you, like me, are “hog wild” about pigs in the kitchen.  Sorry, I couldn’t resist the pun. I tried. Honest. I hadn’t done a piggy post in a while and thought it was high time I fixed that.

The cutie above is the Cast Iron Pig Bacon Grill Press (available on Amazon).

My own bacon press has an image of a pig on it (of course… pigs are all over my kitchen) – but it isn’t shaped like a pig. That makes this one really stand out, doesn’t it?! For a long time, I just used my bacon press as a decoration… sitting pretty on the stove. Then I actually put her to work one day flattening bacon and, what do you know it actually works.

It’s ideal if you’re making bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches – or if you just want your bacon to stop looking like it has a perm.

Features:

  • Measures 8.5 inches/21.5cm by 5.25 inches/13.5cm
  • Made of heavy cast iron with a wooden knob handle
  • Whimsical pig-shaped press keeps bacon flat during frying
  • Needs to be seasoned before use
  • Hand wash, rinse thoroughly and dry with a paper towel – Never soak cast iron

I love that it’s cast iron, too. Can you say, “Lasts forever”?!

See Cast Iron Pig Bacon Grill Press for more information.

There’s also a round bacon press option (pictured below) – it’s too cute for its own good, too.

The one shown below is the one I have (and love):

I’m actually loving all of these so much, I think I need to start collecting bacon presses. More pigs..yay!

Whimsical Pig Planter

January 21, 2015 By Joi Sigers

Pig Planter

From the comments and e-mails, I know that a lot of you love pigs as much as I do. When I saw this adorable Metal Pig Planter , I thought of y’all right away.

Okay, that’s not the truth. The first thing I thought was, “Add to Cart” but the next thing I thought of was y’all. You were right behind the cart.

Amazon refers to the cutie above as a “Garden Decoration” but they don’t know me very well. There’s no way I’d put her outside and subject her to birds, wind, snow, squirrels, or mischievous cats. No way. She’ll go right in the kitchen with my other pig collectibles. I’m pretty sure I’ll grow herbs in her – chives, dill, thyme, basil… one or two of my favorites.

Then again she’d be a great spot to corral all the bags of Bob’s Red Mill mixes I always have on hand. Hmmmm, I guess I’ll decide when she shows up.

Also on the edge of the shopping cart….
