Deliciousness at Chick-Fil-A
I hope where you live is as gorgeous as today here in Kentucky. This is the kind of weather that makes it tough to stay inside. But, since I’ve yet to figure a way to move my home office outside, the great outdoors will just have to wait.
Gluten Free Buns in the Works at Chick-Fil-A
Have you heard the exciting news about Chick-Fil-A experimenting with Gluten Free buns? I’m crazy about this! For one thing, I love Chick-Fil-A – their grilled chicken tenders and fries are the bomb. I’m somewhere between floored and furious, however, that they took away their coleslaw. Not only was it a perfect gluten free option, it was freaking delicious. They took it away and replaced it with something that isn’t gluten free and, from what I’ve heard, it isn’t as good as the coleslaw was.
Oh well, even Chick-Fil-A isn’t perfect, I guess. It will be amazing, however, if they’re the fist fast food chain that’s able to pull off a gluten free bun. I haven’t heard anything about the rest of the big names even trying.
Not cool of them.
Supposedly (years ago) Subway attempted it, but apparently they didn’t get it right and apparently gave up.
I really hope Chick-Fil-A has the gluten free buns (with grilled chicken sandwiches) available soon.
Chickpeas: 1 Cup Pumps the Iron
I have a confession to make – I could (and do) eat chickpeas straight out of the can. LOVE them. Seriously, when I’m making hummus I have to slap my own hands to keep myself from eating too many.
Not only do chickpeas taste good… and not only are they downright fun to eat… they also give you 1/4 of your daily iron per cup.
Toss them in bean salads and even tossed salads for extra taste, fun, and iron.
Gluten Free Rice Balls
Here’s a great looking recipe I can’t wait to try – Gluten Free Rice Balls. Yum! The recipe is from one of my favorite sources for all things gluten free, Gluten Free & More.
