Katz Gluten Free – Jelly DonutsWhen I first had to stop eating gluten and wheat, I had a “ready answer” when people asked me what I missed most… “DOUGHNUTS!”  Doughnuts (or donuts, if you prefer) have always been one of my sweetest obsessions. But when my body decided that wheat was equivalent to poison (for it, anyway), I had to part ways with this once great love.

Then, one day while browsing Amazon, I found Katz Gluten Free Donuts and doughnuts and I have been gloriously reunited ever since.

The first Katz Gluten Free Donuts I tried were the Katz Gluten Free Custard Donuts (read my raving review by clicking the link). The next ones I welcomed into my kitchen were the Katz Gluten Free – Jelly Donuts, pictured here.

Like the Custard Donuts, these beauties greeted me with the unmistakable and intoxicating “doughnut” aroma as soon as I opened the package. There’s a certain, Heavenly smell that only doughnuts can claim and these could be the poster child for that truth.

The doughnuts are huge and absolutely delicious. Four huge donuts come to a package and, trust me, even the biggest doughnut lover in the world can’t eat them all at once. I would know! Even I, with my world renown status as a doughnut fiend can only eat one at a time.

Katz Gluten Free – Jelly DonutsAs I pointed out in the review of the Katz Gluten Free Custard Donuts, it’d be awfully easy to be either too heavy-handed or too light-handed with the amount of filling in these donuts, but Katz gives the perfect amount. You get enough of the delicious filling without it being a distraction from the donuts, themselves, which are otherworldly delicious.

Whether you have to (or choose to) eat Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free, and/or Soy Free… Katz Donuts will help you reclaim a lost love.  Doughnuts are a complete obsession with me, so you can trust me when I say this: You’ll want to try each and every doughnut Katz makes.
